Serving children aged 18 months through 3rd grade, we emphasize inquiry-based learning and literacy to prepare students for school readiness. Our curriculum aligns with the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines and Kindergarten TEKS, ensuring a rigorous and engaging educational experience. We believe in whole-child development, integrating social and emotional learning through the Sanford Harmony program.
Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Preschool Team Member to join our family. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and educational environment, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans that align with our focus on literacy, mathematics, and inquiry-based learning.
Child Supervision: Monitor and engage with children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and promoting positive interactions.
Learning Through Play: Facilitate and participate in play-based learning activities, including art centers, technology centers, Spanish, dramatic play, and physical education.
Social and Emotional Support: Assist in implementing the Sanford Harmony program to foster a strong classroom community and support students' social and emotional development.
Routine Management: Help manage daily routines, including snack times, rest periods, and transitions between activities.
Communication: Maintain open and positive communication with children, parents, and staff members.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. (Junior and senior level scholars able to apply).
Experience: Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting is preferred.
Training: Willingness to complete required pre-service training and obtain CPR/First Aid certification as per Texas childcare minimum standards.
