Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated K-2 Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with our focus areas, manage classroom dynamics effectively, and build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans that focus on literacy, mathematics, and socio-emotional learning, ensuring alignment with state standards and Q&A Preschools' curriculum goals.
Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning, utilizing effective behavior management strategies.
Assessment & Evaluation: Regularly assess student progress through formal and informal methods, providing timely feedback and adjusting instruction as needed to meet diverse learning needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration to enhance instructional practices and contribute to a cohesive educational experience.
Family Engagement: Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, upcoming events, and ways to support learning at home.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and subject-specific content.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Certification: Valid Texas teaching certification for Early Childhood through 6th grade.
Experience: Prior experience teaching in early elementary grades is preferred.
Skills: Strong understanding of early literacy and numeracy development, effective classroom management techniques, and the ability to integrate socio-emotional learning into daily instruction.
